SCHOOL OF THE ARTS:
DANCING ARITHMOS

Dancing Arithmos is a project conceived on multiple inter-connecting planes. It is a chance to investigate a new medium - constructed light, an exploration of compositions generated by order and chaos, and a critical platform to engage with the school, the space, and the public. Using the “Backdrop” and the terrace as the installation site, dancing arithmos seeks to transcend the inner and outer, the static and moving, and the abstract and concrete, folding in various elements to create a dynamic plane. dancing arithmos is a collaboration with my student, Kirti Bhaskar Upadhyaya at School of The Arts. Her work compounding mathematics and visual design underscores the cross-disciplinary pedagogic philosophy of the school and its value.
