SINGAPORE ART MUSEUM:
Follow your heart, Dreams come true

Both Jackson and Melvin are former SJI students. The artwork is inspired by memories of their days studying in the old SJI building, lingering around the school corridors, contemplative quiet moments in the chapel, hanging out around the big tables and benches on the balcony behind the statue of Saint John Baptist De Lasalle, drawing comics, playing board games, reading fantasy novels, chatting and daydreaming of a bright future. A quarter of a century has passed, the former SJI building has been transformed into the current SAM, the collective childhood dreams of the boys still shines brightly today.

They have propagated a visual signature that blends and reinterprets their diverse influences such as traditional Chinese craft, Western popular culture, and art and design movements into a singular creative thought that reflects their multi-cultural identity, background and environment.
